Christmas is OVER!!!

What? How can that be? All of the hype to get ready and it's already over? Christmas is usually my favorite time of year~ but this year I was sick with the flu, BLECH!! It just wasn't the same! I tried to make sure that everything was perfect as usual but it seems as if it was less than perfect~ no cookies for santa no food for the reindeer. My girls didn't seem to notice but it just felt like something was missing. Oh well, there's always next year!

I have to say Santa did a mighty fine job and all of the gifts from friends and family were so awesome and appreciated!

One gift that I received was a bracelet from Brighton and it says "happiness". I LOVE IT! All you need is love & happiness to keep you going~ so I'm going to make my New Year's resolution to be happy and laugh more this year. I have so many things to be grateful for and I am taking the time to step back and take it all in.

Happy New Year!

10 More Days til Christmas!!!

It's been another crazy busy week filled with holiday activities and gatherings! The time is slipping away so fast, I have yet to have everything ready for Christmas. I'm trying to soak in everything around me instead of getting caught up in the hustle and bustle of shopping, baking and crafting!

My little ones and I have done a few homemade crafts including some Advent Rings to countdown to Christmas and stamping cards.

Here's a tour of some of the decorations I've displayed in my home. I love to decorate, keeping the decorations out the little ones hands is another story.

Hope you're enjoying the season and look forward to hearing from family and friends over the coming weeks!

I'll be posting a few of my favorite things this week!

17 More Days until Christmas!!

Well, it's been a crazy week! Trying to get the house ready for Christmas, been having lots of fun decorating and attending some of the holiday functions around town!

We went to The Christmas Tree Farm in Maxwell on Saturday, Grandma and Papa tagged along for a nice winter ride in the country. I found the perfect tree for our home~ it's a Frasier Fur tree, I love the smell of these trees, they smell like citrus. My two little angels and I had a lot of fun decorating the tree and they each got to decorate their own little tree for their rooms.

Our town was also having a little Santa celebration with the town tree lighting. We were able to make it to the town square and ride on the horse carriage ride~ but it was just too cold to stay out any longer. We made a trip to see Santa at one of the local stores and then off to do some crafty projects at home!

My oldest and I, had so much fun making our own ornaments out of some EK success baking stickers. We just punched out some scalloped shapes and put the stickers on, tied some ribbon and voila, adorable cute ornaments for the trees.

Stay tuned for some wonderful gift ideas, the 12 days of Christmas & a few of my favorite things!
